The development comes shortly after Exotel completed the acqui-hire of the core team of Dubverse, strengthening its capabilities in artificial intelligence and conversational technology. The company said the latest leadership restructuring is aimed at accelerating growth across product innovation, operations, financial management and enterprise partnerships. Rohan Shanbagh Elevated As COO Exotel has elevated Rohan Shanbagh to the role of chief operating officer (COO). In his expanded role, Shanbagh will oversee business operations, execution strategy and profitability across the organisation as Exotel continues scaling its enterprise communication infrastructure. The company also appointed Sanjeeth R as chief product officer (CPO). Sanjeeth, who rejoins Exotel while continuing his association with sales productivity platform Luru, will lead product strategy across the company’s Voice AI, CCaaS and CPaaS offerings. Exotel said Sanjeeth will focus on strengthening AI-led customer engagement solutions as enterprises increasingly adopt automation across voice and digital communication channels. Exotel Appoints New CFO And Expands Global Partnerships The company has also appointed Ananda Kumar as chief financial officer (CFO). Kumar has previously worked on financial and operational transformation projects across multiple technology businesses. Meanwhile, Udit Agarwal has been elevated to senior vice president and global head of partnerships and marketing. He will oversee strategic partnerships, alliances and demand generation initiatives across global markets. Additionally, Sumithra Sivaramakrishnan has been promoted to head of people and culture, where she will focus on leadership development and organisational strategy. Exotel Powers Billions Of AI-Driven Interactions Founded in 2011, Exotel provides enterprise communication infrastructure across Voice AI, CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) and CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) solutions. The company said it currently powers more than 25 billion customer interactions annually, including over 4 billion AI-driven conversations, across more than 7,000 enterprises. Its client portfolio includes companies such as Apollo 24|7, HDFC Securities, Future Generali, JSW and MG Motor. According to Entrackr data, Exotel has raised around $100 million in funding from investors including Blume Ventures, A91 Partners and Sistema Asia. The company’s financial performance also improved significantly in FY25. Exotel reported a 10% increase in operating revenue to ₹490.5 crore, while posting a profit of ₹20 crore compared to a loss of ₹37 crore in FY24.
