Ziptrrip Acquires HelloTravel To Expand Corporate And Experiential Travel Business

Ziptrrip Strengthens Presence Across Leisure And MICE Travel

Corporate travel and expense management platform Ziptrrip has acquired online travel marketplace HelloTravel in a strategic move aimed at expanding its footprint across business leisure, MICE and experiential travel segments.

The acquisition is expected to help Ziptrrip strengthen its supply network, improve execution capabilities and diversify beyond core corporate travel management services as demand for integrated travel experiences continues to rise.

Industry experts believe the deal reflects the growing consolidation trend within India’s travel-tech ecosystem, where companies are increasingly looking to combine technology platforms with strong supplier and community networks.

Acquisition To Enhance Travel Ecosystem Capabilities

Founded in 2019 by Shan Prabhakaran and Rishabh Agarwal, Ziptrrip provides travel and expense management solutions for corporates.

The platform enables enterprises to automate travel bookings, streamline approval workflows and implement dynamic travel policies through intelligent algorithms and analytics-driven systems.

Ziptrrip said the acquisition of HelloTravel will significantly strengthen its capabilities in experiential travel and destination-based services by leveraging HelloTravel’s established network of travel agents, destination management companies and community-driven user base.

The company currently claims to have facilitated more than 2 lakh trips across over 650 corporate clients.

HelloTravel Brings Strong Community And Partner Network

Co-founded by Pankaj Agarwal and Mohit Shrivastava, HelloTravel operates a travel marketplace connecting users with specialised travel agents for personalised holiday planning and curated travel experiences.

The platform enables travellers to receive customised travel quotes from verified tour operators across domestic and international destinations.

According to the company, HelloTravel has built a network of more than 7,000 verified travel partners while offering over 2 lakh experience-led travel packages globally.

The platform has also developed a strong digital community with over 1.5 million organic followers, which could provide Ziptrrip with significant consumer reach and engagement opportunities.

HelloTravel To Operate As Independent Subsidiary

Following the acquisition, HelloTravel will continue operating as a wholly owned subsidiary under Wayfarers Technologies Private Limited.

While the company’s founders will exit the business as part of the transaction, the existing operational team will continue managing day-to-day activities and maintaining long-standing partner relationships.

Industry analysts believe maintaining operational continuity could help preserve supplier trust and customer engagement while enabling smoother integration with Ziptrrip’s broader corporate travel ecosystem.

India’s Travel-Tech Sector Witnesses Strategic Consolidation

The acquisition comes at a time when India’s travel and hospitality sector is witnessing rapid recovery alongside increasing demand for personalised, tech-driven and experience-focused travel services.

Corporate travel platforms are also increasingly expanding beyond traditional expense management into leisure travel, group experiences and MICE-focused offerings as hybrid work and bleisure travel trends gain traction globally.

Analysts believe companies with strong technology infrastructure, supplier relationships and community engagement capabilities are likely to emerge as long-term leaders within India’s evolving travel-tech landscape.
