New AI-Powered WhatsApp Assistant Lets Fund Teams Access Data, Manage Workflows and Execute Tasks Without a Dashboard

Fund operations platform Taghash has launched a WhatsApp-based AI agent that enables venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) professionals to access fund information and perform operational tasks through simple conversational prompts.

The launch marks another step in the company’s vision of creating a headless software experience, allowing users to interact with enterprise software without relying on traditional dashboards.

Fund Operations Through WhatsApp

Integrated with Taghash’s existing platform, the AI agent gives fund managers instant access to information across deals, portfolios, funds and limited partners (LPs).

Beyond answering queries, the assistant also helps users execute routine operational workflows directly from WhatsApp. These include identifying pending follow-ups, discovering common connections for LP introductions, drafting reminder emails and initiating operational actions.

To ensure security and user control, all outgoing actions require manual review and approval before execution.

Built on Taghash MCP

According to the company, the WhatsApp AI agent extends the capabilities of Taghash MCP (Model Context Protocol), which was introduced earlier to securely connect AI applications with live fund data and operational workflows.

The MCP framework enables AI tools to retrieve relevant information while maintaining secure access to fund data, allowing users to interact with enterprise systems using natural language.

The latest product expands this capability by bringing it directly to WhatsApp, enabling fund managers to perform tasks without switching between multiple software platforms.

Expanding AI-Led Fund Operations

The AI launch follows the introduction of Taghash Services, an execution-focused offering designed for venture capital and private equity firms.

The service helps investment firms manage critical back-office operations, including:

  • Fund setup
  • Investor onboarding
  • Capital calls
  • Investor reporting
  • Regulatory compliance

By combining software with managed services, Taghash aims to simplify operational processes across the entire fund lifecycle.

Founded by Former VC Professionals

Founded by former venture capital professionals, Taghash develops software for fund administration and portfolio management.

The company has been steadily expanding its product suite with AI-powered automation tools aimed at reducing manual effort, improving operational efficiency and streamlining workflows for investment firms.

Its broader strategy focuses on embedding artificial intelligence across every stage of fund management, from investor communication and compliance to portfolio monitoring and reporting.

AI Expansion Continues

Taghash has been actively investing in AI capabilities over the past year.

In July 2025, the company introduced its AI-integrated Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, enabling secure connectivity between live fund data and leading AI platforms such as Claude, OpenAI and Microsoft Copilot.

With the launch of its WhatsApp AI agent, Taghash is extending those capabilities into a familiar messaging interface, allowing investment teams to retrieve insights and trigger workflows using everyday conversations while maintaining approval-based controls.

The company believes this approach will help venture capital and private equity firms reduce manual processes, improve productivity and make fund operations more accessible through conversational AI.
