Logistics Unicorn Delivers Strong Growth as Revenue Rises 65% and Profit Surges to ₹65 Crore
Shadowfax Technologies, one of India’s leading last-mile logistics and delivery companies, reported a strong financial performance for Q1 FY27, with operating revenue rising 65% year-on-year to ₹1,358 crore. The company also posted a sharp improvement in profitability, with net profit increasing more than eightfold to ₹65 crore during the quarter.
According to the company’s financial statements sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Shadowfax continued to benefit from growing demand across e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (D2C), and quick commerce segments, where rapid and efficient delivery remains a key competitive advantage.
The strong quarterly performance highlights the company’s improving operating leverage as revenue growth significantly outpaced the increase in expenses.
Revenue Climbs 65% in Q1 FY27
Shadowfax reported revenue from operations of ₹1,358 crore in the April–June quarter of FY27, compared with ₹824 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The logistics company also earned ₹21 crore through other income, taking its total income to ₹1,379 crore during the quarter.
On a sequential basis, total income increased by 10%, up from ₹1,253 crore in Q4 FY26, indicating continued business momentum heading into the new financial year.
The growth reflects increasing shipment volumes across multiple sectors, particularly e-commerce and quick commerce, where demand for reliable last-mile logistics continues to expand.
Profit Surges More Than Eightfold
One of the biggest highlights of Shadowfax’s quarterly performance was its sharp improvement in profitability.
The company reported a net profit of ₹65 crore, compared with ₹8 crore in Q1 FY26, representing a more than eightfold increase year-on-year.
The strong profit growth came as revenue expanded at a faster pace than operating expenses, allowing the company to improve earnings despite continued investments in scaling its logistics network.
The results demonstrate Shadowfax’s ability to balance rapid business expansion with improving financial performance.
Expenses Rise as Business Scales
As operations expanded, Shadowfax also reported higher operating expenses.
The company disclosed that:
- Employee benefit expenses increased 49% year-on-year to ₹124 crore.
- Depreciation and amortisation costs rose 82% to ₹40 crore.
Overall, total expenditure reached ₹1,314 crore, reflecting a 60% increase compared to the same period last year.
While the company did not provide a detailed breakdown of all expenses, the higher costs are consistent with continued investments in workforce expansion, logistics infrastructure, and operational capacity.
Despite these investments, profitability improved substantially due to stronger revenue growth.

Market Valuation Rises
Investor sentiment remained positive following the company’s quarterly results.
As of 12:41 PM, Shadowfax shares were trading around ₹237, representing an 8% increase during the trading session.
The rise in the share price pushed the company’s market valuation to approximately ₹13,848 crore, or nearly $1.45 billion.
The market reaction reflects investor confidence in Shadowfax’s growth trajectory and improving profitability.
Outlook
Shadowfax’s Q1 FY27 performance demonstrates the company’s ability to scale efficiently while strengthening its financial performance.
