D2C Athleisure Brand to Expand Retail Footprint, Launch New Categories and Strengthen Product Development
Direct-to-consumer (D2C) athleisure brand BlissClub has raised Rs 160 crore (approximately $16.8 million) in a Series B funding round led by Singularity AMC. The round also saw participation from founder Minu Margeret, her partner Vidit Aatrey, and existing investors Elevation Capital and Eight Roads Ventures.
The latest funding comes over four years after the Bengaluru-based startup raised $15 million in its Series A round in May 2022, led by Eight Roads Ventures with participation from Elevation Capital.
Funds to Drive Expansion and Product Innovation
According to the company, the newly raised capital will be deployed to accelerate the next phase of growth.
The investment will primarily be used to:
- Expand into new product categories
- Scale the company’s offline retail network
- Strengthen product development capabilities
- Hire talent across key business functions
BlissClub aims to deepen its omnichannel presence while continuing to build performance-focused apparel tailored for Indian consumers.
From Women’s Activewear to Omnichannel Brand
Founded in 2020 by Minu Margeret, BlissClub started as a women-focused athleisure brand, offering technical activewear designed specifically for Indian body types.
Over the past few years, the company has evolved into an omnichannel fashion business with more than 40 retail stores across India. It has also expanded beyond women’s activewear by recently entering the menswear segment.
Its product portfolio includes leggings, tops, outerwear, and accessories, developed through in-house research, design, and sourcing.
Today, BlissClub sells its products through its own website, leading e-commerce marketplaces, and its growing network of offline retail stores.
Strong Revenue Growth in FY25
While BlissClub is yet to file its FY26 financial statements, the company reported strong financial growth during FY25.
According to its filings, operating revenue increased 51% year-on-year to Rs 131.5 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 87 crore in FY24.
The company also significantly improved its financial performance by reducing its losses by more than half, supported by lower employee costs and better operational efficiency.
The improvement reflects the startup’s focus on balancing growth with disciplined cost management as it scales its omnichannel business.
Betting on India’s Growing Athleisure Market
The fresh funding comes at a time when India’s athleisure and performance apparel market continues to witness rapid growth, driven by increasing health awareness, premium fashion trends, and rising demand for functional clothing.
BlissClub has positioned itself as a homegrown premium athleisure brand by focusing on product innovation, community-led marketing, and a strong direct-to-consumer strategy.
With fresh capital, an expanding retail presence, and entry into newer categories, the company is looking to strengthen its position in India’s competitive activewear market while building a broader lifestyle apparel brand.
