“After nearly 9 years, I have decided to leave Google DeepMind and join Anthropic,” Jumper wrote, while thanking Demis Hassabis for giving him the opportunity to lead the AlphaFold project shortly after completing his PhD.
Google DeepMind also confirmed the departure, expressing gratitude for Jumper’s contributions to the company’s scientific and AI breakthroughs. Anthropic separately confirmed that Jumper would be joining the organization.
